Over the last few years I’ve found Urbanise to be a highly competent and proactive contractor, with an ability and willingness to take on complex and difficult projects that other contractors of similar size have sometimes declined. Their Operations Director, Matt Kimber is open and easy to work with and I have no hesitation in recommending him and his firm.
Urbanise carried out two successful contracts on the Miles platting Regeneration PFI project for Lovell. Being very proactive and constructive in the design and deliverability of this initial package, they efficaciously delivered all the groundworks and substructures for the new-build housing. With the success of this, it was evident that the rest of the superstructure should be negotiated with Urbanise.
Working with Urbanise is an extremely enjoyable and proactive experience. Urbanise reconstructed a large retail area below the apartments to develop a much sought after unit. Both the developments were project managed from the start to the successful handover completion, in a professional and efficient manner. Each phase was completed to an exceptionally high standard whilst maintaining professionalism by all involved whilst meeting the agreed deadlines and projected timescales.
Our remit to Urbanise was to create a space in Manchester for a professional services firm like no other. The outcome was a private members lounge that wouldn’t look out of place in New York, a rooftop terrace complete with tiki bar, and a series of meeting rooms and creative spaces. All complete within budget and timescales which were testing! Matt and his team was a pleasure to work with and we would recommend them to anyone.
The Urbanise team performed well on a technically difficult project carried out in very restrictive working conditions. They carried out the works with respect to other users and communicating throughout with occupiers, visitors and the on-site FM team. The works, which included some major structural aspects were completed on time and on budget. We were very impressed with their ability to work with us and respond to the challenges the scheme presented.
More than just a contractor, Urbanise were there to ensure our restaurant was delivered, often taking on extra workload to make sure things got done. Their transparency, attention to detail and work ethic means that Proove will be using Urbanise in our roll out.
Matthew became a construction technician at age 16 and has been in the industry ever since, covering a range of roles before focusing on project management.
Louise’s primary role at Urbanise is to harness that experience to smoothly plan resource requirements, direct our supply chain and manage all company commercial business.
Bernard began his role with Urbanise in 2015, bringing with him 40 years’ industry experience, working for all tiers of contractors.
Julie has been with Urbanise for almost 10 years, working to keep everything running smoothly.
Formerly a joiner, Martin became part of the team in 2015 after working on fitouts across various sectors, including retail, the military and NHS.
